A Field of Application (FOA) is a technical domain or specialty. FOAs are what tailor an assessment to the work someone actually does — they decide which specialized skills get included.
A Standard Job gives an assessment its core skills — the foundation expected of anyone in that job.
A Field of Application (FOA) adds technical specialized skills on top — the deeper expertise tied to a specific area of work.
For example, two people may share the same Standard Job but work in different FOAs, so their specialized skills differ.

When a manager builds an assessment, they:
Pick the Standard Job → this brings in the core skills.
Pick one or more Fields of Application → each one adds its set of specialized skills, grouped together so they're easy to review.
The result is a skill list that reflects both the job and the specialty.

Employees see the FOAs chosen for them when they review their setup, and the specialized skills appear in their self-assessment.
